Did you know you already know how to say "testicle tree" in the ancient language of the Aztecs? Well, neither did I until I read something recently that to say that phrase in Aztec you say something like "Ahua-challo." This phrase, "Ahua-challo," was describing a tree bearing two fruit that the Spanish conquistadors had never seen before. The colorful phrase eventually made its way from Aztec to Spanish and then to your shopping list in English. Did you figure it out? The "Ahua-challo" is none other than the "Avo-cado".
I posted this as a guarantee to myself that I'll soon post a real update ; I can't just leave this up for months. Plus, I think it's funny. Do you know any funny word histories? Tell me.
